Mitt Romney won the New Hampshire primary last night with 39.3 percent of the vote, but 11 hours ago, the Twitter handle @MexicanMitt won 100 percent of the Twitterverse's heart (rough approximation).
The fake Twitter feed—most likely inspired by the fact that George Romney, the candidate's father, was born in Mexico, giving Mitt Romney the option of dual citizenship—already has more than 300 followers, and, in less than a day, has provided more exciting rhetoric than Mitt Romney has said during his entire career.
Having a bevy of Twitter personas might actually be the best strategy for Romney to win over voters still unimpressed by his record and personality. Mitt Romney doesn't need to flip-flop to make everyone happy. Being many different people is so much easier!
For example:
@FrenchCanadianRomné: Bonjour! You know what j'adore about the campaign trail. Poutine every day! http://tinyurl.com/7deq62w
@TeenMitt: Team Jacob 4EVAH cuz we're both big on hunting and the Second Amendment lol
@99PercentWillard: Corporations are the one percent!!! So, they're PEOPLE! BOOYAH.
@MITTHULK: BECOME PRESIDENT, EAT OBAMACARE.
@MittBieber: I need somebody to gov, so vote for me! I luv all my fans.
@LOLCATMITT: OH HAI IM GOIN 2 BE AWESUM PRESIDENT CUZ I WERKD SO MUCH IN DA PRIVATE SECTOR AN MADE SO LOTZ DA JOBS AN READ DECISHUN POINTS.
