The group blog of The American Prospect

TAPPED, the Prospect's award-winning group blog, is a link-intensive collection of musings, ramblings, opinions and other assorted writing on the developments of the day -- from political gossip to policy debates to commentary on material from other publications. The magazine's staff and a roster of outside contributors submit items, which are edited and posted by the editors of TAP Online.

Dean Baker's economic commentary

Dean Baker is co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington, DC. He is a frequent guest on National Public Radio, Marketplace, CNN, CNBC and other news programs. He is the author of several books, including The Conservative Nanny State: How the Wealthy Use the Government to Stay Rich and Get Richer and The United States Since 1980. He received his Ph.D in economics from the University of Michigan.

A respectable liberal blog

Ezra Klein is "very, very good," says Paul Krugman. He is "a man with an apparent soft spot for command- and-control economics," says U.S. News and World Report. He is also a staff writer at The American Prospect, a frequent guest on MSNBC's Hardball, an unashamed health policy wonk, and an individual deeply committed to repopularizing graphs and charts as a legitimate element of political punditry. This is his blog.
