It’s almost impossible to overstate how much I loathe sports analogies in politics. I mean, I assume it would be bad for Clinton to be Boise State, but I don’t really know if that’s the case. And I don’t really want to know. After all, in the time it takes me to figure out the metaphor, someone could just explain whether or not Hillary was favored in the contest, and so whether the results were a surprise.

All this reminds me that we really dodged a bullet last November.
