Jeremiah Wright tries to walk back his comment yesterday that “them Jews” won’t let him talk to Obama:

“Let me say like Hillary, I misspoke,” Wright said. “Let me just say: Zionists.”

Wright said “I’m not talking about all Jews, all people of the Jewish faith, I’m talking about Zionists.”

Yeah. Because all Zionists are Jews. Except that believing Israel has the right to exist as a Jewish state includes the entire Obama administration.

This is one of those cases where the clarification is almost more incriminating than the original comment. “Zionist” has no real meaning here, except as an epithet. Sort of reminds me of a racist white guy trying to explain that yes, he thinks some black people are n—-s, but not all of them, so he’s not racist.
