Ryan Sager — who edits the excellent online politics page for the New York Sun, and generally covers the GOP candidates with a sharp and critical eye — has a superb send-up of Fred Thompson’s self-comparison with George W. — not that George W., but George Washington. Sager gives Ol’ Fred the same treatment Lloyd Bentsen gave Dan Quayle.
