In case you haven’t been reading Batman comics lately, Bruce Wayne has left his old Robin to take up the mantle of the Bat in Gotham City while he runs around the world setting up franchises. In France, he chooses an Algerian Muslim from the Paris slums. Cue right-wing panic:
I knew it was only going to get worse at DC Comics: in his continuing efforts to form Batman Inc, Bruce Wayne recruits an Algerian Muslim living in France, in Clichy-Sous-Bois, where the Muslim riots grew out of in 2005, over the death of 2 delinquents who electrocuted themselves by stupidly entering a power station, and the blame was laid upon at least 2 policemen who weren’t even at fault and didn’t even know they were there. How about that, Bruce Wayne goes to France where he hires not a genuine French boy or girl with a real sense of justice, but rather, an “oppressed” minority who adheres to the Religion of Peace. And this is a guy whose very parents were murdered at the hands of a common street thug!
Because we know Arabs and Muslims can’t be “genuinely French” or have a “sense of justice.” Also, the title of the post is “Batman hires an Islamist.” Because if you’re an observant Muslim, you might as well be Sayyid Qutb himself.
Anyway, Roy Edroso points out, Batman’s Islamist agenda has been in the works for a long time. After all, he has a child with KNOWN ARAB Talia al Ghul, and said child is the current Batman’s Robin.
Comic books are kind of like comedy, the good ones don’t lend themselves to the kind of ideological rigidity and political correctness conservatives demand from all elements of their existence.
