It's big news that the union movement is thinking of reuniting into the AFL-CIO. The Change to Win break has neither really failed nor particularly succeeded, and many of the participants appear to feel that the point was made. Continuing division is unhelpful. This is particularly true as Labor faces up to the ferocious counter-assault the business community is mounting against the Employee Free Choice Act, which is exceeding most all expectations.
