Communication Specialist and Office Coordinator: The American Prospect seeks a multi-talented professional to join our small team on a temporary full-time basis.
Our communication specialist handles aspects of marketing outreach and publicity; internal communication; special event management; as well as developing or maintaining partnerships; reporting on analytics; and participating in social media efforts.
Office coordination includes support for the whole team, maintenance of records, supply inventory; meeting set up; mail distribution; visitor assistance; vendor relationship management; customer service; and membership fulfillment.
This job may be right for you if... you already possess strong communication and copywriting skills. You probably have project management experience and an enthusiastic attitude. You also know your way around a postage meter.
Experience with email marketing platforms and GSuite (Analytics, Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms and Team Drive) is required; familiarity with QuickBooks Online is a big plus.
Interest in independent, nonprofit journalism is a must.
