The North Carolina Superior Court just struck down a centuries-old state law making it a misdemeanor for boyfriends and girlfriends to live together while unmarried. The Supreme Court decision to overturn state sodomy laws in Lawrence v. Texas was cited as precedent. Pam has more, including a list of the states that still have these laws on the books.
