MCCAIN’S FALLACY: Thanks to Greg for effectively skewering John McCain‘s faulty logic in arguing that because almost everyone agrees that we should have sent a large enough force to effectively occupy three years ago we must send more troops now. In addition to all the points Greg made about why this doesn’t necessarily make sense, I’d like to add one he left out. It’s impossible. The U.S. simply doesn’t have enough troops to add any more. Just another reason McCain’s suggestion is nothing more than fatuous political posturing.
