ENCINO BOY. Apparently the creationism v. evolution debate is raging in the womb of human life. The earliest, most complete human skeleton, known as “Turkana Boy,” is set to be displayed at a museum in Kenya, but an evangelical Christian group is planning to boycott the exhibit. The creationism movement has spread virally beyond the U.S. borders. Although the debate doesn’t appear to be that substantive, since it’s only one group speaking out against the exhibit, it marks another movement in the an odd war on science. If the skeleton were being displayed here, would parents refuse to send their kids to see it on field trips? Not believing in evolution is one thing, but taking an active stance against showing evidence of it is quite another.
