It won’t ensure the dismantling of existing voting machines, but via Engadget, it looks like Diebold may be dumping its e-voting unit. As Krist Novoselic said when asked about this at a recent forum on IRV, “If you want a paper record of your vote, you know … just use a paper ballot!”
