His chief adviser says yes. He calls the Blackberry a “miracle John McCain helped create.” But as Nick Beaudrot points out, that’s sort of an odd argument given that the Blackberry was developed by Research in Motion, a Canadian company. Indeed, it remains an odd argument if you take the kind interpretation and assume Holtz-Eakin was talking about the regulatory environment McCain helped craft. The Blackberry was developed in a different country with a different regulatory environment.
