Like Ta-Nehisi, I found Eric Holder‘s statements on race not really worth remarking on. Jonah Goldberg is whining about Holder’s statement that we are “a nation of cowards” when it comes to talking about race, a statement whose truth rivals it’s banality. In fact, it’s so banal that Goldberg wrote an entire column making a similar point several days ago. Goldberg called Holder’s comments “hackneyed and reprehensible.” If the shoe fits.Â
Incidentally, while we’re talking about race and cowardice, now might be a time to think about that Constitutional Amendment Russ Feingold is proposing to end gubenatorial appointments to the Senate, so that we won’t ever have to deal with another Roland Burris.
