Georgia Rep. Bobby Franklin‘s bill urging authorities to treat miscarriages as potential instances of “prenatal murder” is really crazy. But Franklin basically has a record of proposing crazy bills that will never pass–Atlanta Journal Constitution blogger Jim Galloway dubbed him the “lone ranger” for proposing a bill doing away with driver’s licences. It hasn’t even been a month since the last time he provoked liberal outrage by suggesting that rape victims be referred to as “accusers.”
Anyway I’m not sure how much outrage this is really worth. It’s certainly outrageous, but unlike say, South Dakota’s bill forcing women who want to terminate a pregnancy to go through misleading “Crisis Pregnancy Centers,” it seems like a long shot.
