To be fair, 30 Rock also had a pretty funny back-and-forth between Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey's characters that went something like:
Baldwin: Loved those jokes you wrote me for the Mitt Romney fundraiser.
Fey: Those weren't jokes! It was an earnest plea to return civility and honesty to the national discourse!
Baldwin: Whatever, they got a big laugh.
