Remember three months ago, when it was "weeks away?" So does Josh Gerstein, who says not to expect a decision anytime soon:
Now advocates on both sides of the issue say they expect the Obama administration to punt the decision until after the November midterm elections — when the controversial plan could do less damage to the political fortunes of endangered Democrats and might face less resistance on Capitol Hill.
Lol.
The more likely outcome is that punting till after the November elections means that the White House can tell all the advocacy groups pushing for a civilian trial that they just can't do anything about it with all those new Republicans in Congress, so they'll just have to settle for a military commission at Camp Justice.
