Having just been in the market for a two-bedroom, basement apartment, I can pretty confidently say that not only isn't $1,600 a sweetheart deal, it might be a rip-off, particularly if Boehner was paying it before the recent hike in housing costs. The places I checked out, all in trendy, costly areas, ranged from $1300-$1625.
