I’m not terribly impressed with Clinton’s victory speech. Generally, she’s good at turning these things into a recitation of her campaign rationale: You got problems, she’s got policies. Tonight, she’s taking the Jay-Z approach, rapping about how she’s awesome, and can’t be kept on the mat. It’s sort of gangsta, but it seems less effective. On the other hand, Paul Begala is saying that she usually has “more solutions than the country has problems,” but that this speech showed “heart” and “closed with an emotional story,” so who knows?
