As there are about six dozen health reform coalitions and dialogue groups operating right now, I'm not particularly moved by news that SEIU and AFCSME
dropped out
of one of the least known dialogues. Indeed, I'd suggest this is signaling more than anything else: Loudly pulling back from the generically named "Healthcare Reform Dialogue" and leaking that it's over an inability "to reach agreement on proposals for a new public insurance plan or a requirement for employers to contribute to the cost of coverage" is a way of signaling to Congress and the administration that the two unions are committed to both principles and willing to fight for them.
