In addition to David Sirota's piece which I mentioned yesterday, I see that In These Times also has a profile by Adam Doster of the cousins Udall -- Tom and Mark -- running for Senate in New Mexico and Colorado respectively (Doster says they get along like brothers).
As I wrote a few weeks ago, one of the reasons Democrats are optimistic in the Southwest in ways they weren’t just a few years ago is because they have a lot of new statewide or federal elected officials (a new senator in Colorado, two new House members in Arizona, and governors in each of those states plus New Mexico). If the Udalls can pull off the double-play the Dems will have five of the eight senators in the four southwestern states.
Read Doster to find out more about the cousins and their chances.
