Okay, so the Clinton campaign planted a Grinnell College student in the audience at an Iowa event to ask the candidate a fluffy question on global warming. Not cool. The 19-year old spoke out to her college newspaper, and the national media soon followed. But in response, the Edwards campaign has made a mountain out of a mole-hill, and risks coming across as desperate. They've launched the jokey website Plants For Hillary. It features "Spotting a Hillary Plant: A Field Guide" and "Top 10 Questions Plants Should Never Ask Hillary," including, "Why do you defend lobbyists?" and "What is your specific plan for ending the war in Iraq?" Good questions. Silly ploy. --Dana Goldstein
