Gotta give him this: McCain is ready. He's no Sarah Palin. He doesn't need no on-the-job training. He wasn't a mayor for a short period of time. He wasn't a governor for a short period of time. In fact, he'll tell you that himself.
Of course, in this clip, he's running against Rudy Giuliani (mayor of a city 844 times larger than Wasilla) and Mitt Romney (governor of a state 9.4 times larger than Alaska), so as you can imagine, the situation was a little bit different. Namely, at that point, it suited John McCain's political ambitions to say one thing, and right now, it suits his political ambitions to say the opposite thing. if there were justice, or consistency, in electoral politics, than we'd have to admit something. John Kerry may have been a flip-flopper. But McCain is an opportunistic liar. And that's not a partisan judgment, there's simply no other way to interpret these facts.
