And here I thought I wore blue jeans because they don't wrinkle. How wrong I was! Salvation, George Will explains, is easy enough. "For men, sartorial good taste can be reduced to one rule," he writes. "If Fred Astaire would not have worn it, don't wear it." And Fred Astaire was pretty fly. But the "if Fred Astaire wouldn't have recognized it, don't do it" rule actually seems a pretty good summation of George Will's general approach to politics, not just his approach to denim. After all, as he admits, he actually owns some denim. He does not, as far as I know, possess any post-Astaire policy positions. And yes, those words were pretty much just an excuse to post that clip. As I said: Astaire was fly!
