Chris Orr's meditation on the original Godzilla movie, and its relationship to nuclear fears, is thoughtful and affecting. I don't really have a news hook for linking to it, though, so I guess I'll plug Peter Scoblic's new book on nuclear proliferation and its relationship to the Manichean foreign policy outlook favored by conservatives.
