Speaking to reporters after today's torture hearing, Sen. Lindsey Graham was asked whether he was OK with terrorists being held in a military prison. Graham said yes, and then paused for a moment. "I'm not volunteering South Carolina," he said with a laugh. Convicted terrorist Ali Saleh Kahlah al-Marri was held at the Naval Consolidated Brig in Charleston for six years.
Graham also indicated support for revised military commissions that the Obama administration is reportedly considering. When asked whether or not it would take too much time to pass a new law outlining the commissions, Graham said, "We can do this fairly quickly, frankly."
