Human Rights First fires its latest salvo in its beef withLiz Cheney's group Keep America Safe over the sentencing of former Gitmo detainee Ahmed Ghailani to life in prison for his role in the 1998 American embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania:
As you'll read in my column today, they weren't exactly silent, but they were reduced to complaining that Ghailani wasn't convicted of all the charges. Which, given how many apocalyptic predictions were made prior to the trial, is pathetic. Ghailani has only one life to spend in prison, and that's where he's going to spend it.
My favorite part is when Sarah Palin says that we're "trying this terrorist in our court system, which is reserved under our Constitution for American citizens." I guess we know it's not just newspapers and magazines she doesn't read.
