I’m a bit confused by this bit from Andrew Sullivan. The graph he posts is pretty clear: Our long-term fiscal problems are the product of rising health care costs, not entitlements. But then he says — or seems to say — that he hopes Obama will ignore that fact and instead make “the Grand Bargain on entitlements (a mix of benefit cuts, premium increases and tax hikes) a core feature of his first term.” What gives?
