The early parts of the evening have featured John Lewis and various members of Martin Luther King Jr.'s family (today is, you'll remember, the 40th anniversary of the "I Have a Dream" speech). These bits were not, I imagine, shown on TV, which is probably for the best: It strikes me as a mistake to be too explicit in wrapping this evening in King's memory. Elsewhere, Will.I.Am sang "Yes, We Can" (presumably, Obama future on InTrade plummeted instantly) and the Colorado state director came out and exhorted the assembled folk to do some text message organizing. I'm no good at estimating crowds, but there are tens of thousands of people here. The music is mainly 70s funk. As Dana commented, "the music would have been much worse if Hillary had been the nominee."
