They call him the founder of the Moral Majority, but actually the idea was hatched between Richard Viguerie, the direct-mail king known by the nickname Reagan's Postmaster*, and Paul Weyrich, the founder of the Heritage Foundation. I'm waiting for Pat Robertson to find a way to blame his rival's death on either feminists or witchcraft. *Note to literalists: I'm not saying he actually was the U.S. postmaster under Reagan.
