Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein has sided with the ACLU that documents released by the government in connection with their attempt to get information about interrogation procedures were too heavily redacted. Judge Hellerstein has ordered an independent in camera review of all the redacted documents, including those relating to the destruction of 92 tapes by the CIA that documented interrogations.
In other words, we are likely going to get to see, in greater detail, the effects of the previous administration's interrogation policies. Not that anything will change the minds of the beltway press when it comes to holding the powerful accountable for legal wrongdoing not related to sex.
