KERRY AGAIN He's really doing a wonderful job here. He just cut Petraeus off to remind that the issue in Iraq has never been Iraqis versus al Qaeda, as we always knew they'd kick out foreign jihadis. The issue is reconciliation, and so success against al Qaeda is really neither here nor there. It's easy to let bitterness over his defeat overwhelm clear memories that he's actually a very knowledgeable, smart senator, and there was a reason he wrested the nomination in the first place. --Ezra Klein
