I just want to go over what we've learned since the release of Department of Homeland Security memos on right wing and left wing extremism.
1. Monitoring potentially violent extremists on the right counts as stifling dissent, because anyone on the political right is by nature virtuous and good.
2. Monitoring people based on skin color, religion, and national origin is necessary because those people might be dangerous. Also, it's cool to put them in internment camps if we feel like it.
