- Chris Cillizza has a good piece about McCain's inner circle. It's worth a look for the picture of McCain nuzzling John Warner alone.
- Romney will endorse McCain. Shocking, I know.
- Fox News Radio compares Obama to Hitler. Somebody's been taking Liberal Fascism a little too literally.
- The New York Times crunches the numbers and concludes that it would be pretty hard for Clinton to take the lead in pledged delegates.
- So let me get this straight. Obama sorta-maybe-kinda promised he'd take public funds for the general election if his opponent did. John McCain has made such a pledge while Obama now describes it as an "option" and now suddenly it's some huge scandal if he doesn't? Sure it gives McCain a possible attack, but is taking that attack off the table worth tens of millions of dollars? I think not.
- McCain votes for torture.
- The SEIU, which has been neutral up to this point, will probably endorse Obama tomorrow. This is very much a big deal. He'll also have the support of Texan populist Jim Hightower. John Nichols explains why this matters. And in yet more endorsement news Prospect alum Garance Franke-Ruta reports that former GOP Senator Lincoln Chafee endorsed Obama today. Not especially important in and of itself, but interesting. In other Republicans-like-Obama news a top McCain adviser says he will step aside if Obama is the democratic nominee because he'd feel uncomfortable attacking him though he'd still vote for McCain.
- Finally, just for fun, an, ahem, corny portrait of Obama. Also, he subscribed to your feed, carries a picture of you in his wallet, and wrote on your funwall.
