Carol Platt Liebau, explaining why social conservatives will support Giuliani, writes:
In a country where the press has repeatedly tried to paint a picture of federal government inefficiency in episodes as varied as the response to Hurricane Katrina and the war in Iraq, a can-do reputation counts for a lot.
This is a very genuine question, and I'd love an honest answer: does the right really think the media has "repeatedly tried to paint" the response to hurricane Katrina and the planning for Iraq as inept? Is this the meme flitting around talk radio and Human Events, that government -- get this! -- is efficient and that no-good, down dirty media is just flashing its liberal bias by saying otherwise?
