The Obama campaign will release a book on Sept. 9 featuring key campaign policy proposals, seven of the senator's speeches, and a new forward written by Obama himself. As reported by Politico's Mike Allen, the policy sections include “How to Fix Our Ailing Economy,” “How to Strengthen the Middle Class,” “How to Make Health Care Affordable for All,” “How to Achieve Energy Independence” and “How to Keep America Safe in a Dangerous World.” Notably absent from this preliminary list are a host of social issues, ranging from the controversial (reproductive freedom) to the complex (public education). Also missing --- Iraq. The seven speeches include the race/Jeremiah Wright speech, the Iowa caucus victory speech, the Berlin speech, the Father's Day speech, a health care speech, and an economic competitiveness speech. The book's title is Change We Can Believe In: Barack Obama's Plan to Renew America's Promise. What would you include in a book meant to introduce Obama's platform to bookstore customers nationwide? --Dana Goldstein
