While I may have derided the utility of cursive a few weeks ago, I'm now in the position of needing to work on my penmanship. Arguing against the usefulness of script, I held that most folks don't need to write longhand anymore. But I, as an occasional reporter, do. Sadly, I'm desperately slow with a pen and a pad, so much so that I barely even bother to take notes if I don't have a computer by my side. I will not, however, always have a computer by my side, and will occasionally need to jot down thoughts, questions, or statements, and so I figure I need to work on this. Part is just practice, to be sure. But part is that I print in unconnected, mostly-capital letters -- ideal neither for speed nor legibility. Are there any methods or programs for improving the actual way I write? A couple generations ago, this had to be a common enough self-improvement project.
Update: Here's a good site. I'm a finger-writer.
