Dr. Laura Schlessinger had basically become irrelevant, so I'm pretty indifferent to her leaving her show following a racially charged rant in which her copious use of the word "nigger" was pretty much the least offensive thing about it.
But this kind of misinterpretation of the First Amendment is a real pet peeve of mine:
"I want my 1st Amendment rights back, which I can't have on radio without the threat of attack on my advertisers and stations," Schlessinger said.
The First Amendment guarantees your right to speech; it does not grant a right to a nationally syndicated radio show with corporate sponsors. These sponsors can choose to finance your product or not; for them to choose not to do so is not a violation of your First Amendment rights. The First Amendment allows you to say just about whatever you want, but it doesn't mean people have to listen, respect, or agree with you, let alone pay for you to keep talking!
