It's odd that John McCain has not managed to set aside five minutes to read the bailout bill. He's managed to "suspend" his campaign, but not read the three page legislative proposal at the center of the controversy. And yet, having not read the bill and thus having no particular angle on its utility, he decided that the folks up on Capitol Hill absolutely could not last another day without his presence, and is presumably flying back as we speak. John McCain is a very strange man.
