TWO COMMENTS ON RICHARD COHEN. Real quick: 1) Can we pass some sort of legislation outlawing the columnist conceit of speaking to a dead person? It was annoying when Safire held seances with Nixon, and it's no better when Cohen talks to his grandfather. Just make your point. 2) Does Cohen really understand the implications of a column that lambastes him for being an out-of-touch tool of the corporate class lacking in attachment or connection to the working class? This op-ed is, in some ways, admirably self-critical, but if Cohen believes this critique, shouldn't he be, you know, following it? Anyway, full column, in all its weirdness, here. --Ezra Klein
