I'm not particularly strongly set against the "unity ticket" idea, but insofar as folks are worried about a fractured Democratic Party in the Fall, I'd suggest that John McCain and his plans to gut entitlement programs and launch more wars will do a fairly good job uniting the Democratic Party. Things may look rough now, but folks arejust wrapped up in the heat of the primary. Give the general election a few months to kick off, have a healing and enthused convention, give the media and the Democrats time to redefine McCain, and you'll see a pretty united base going into November.
