Before the entire blogosphere becomes the Lieberman-Lamont/McKinney-Johnson show later today, I figured that here at Unofficial Edwards Central we ought to hilight this article (via TNR) about a recent appearance the Son of A Mill Worker made in Iowa. Edwards, speaking about the Iraq War, called for the withdrawl 40,000 troops—now—and a plan to leave entirely in roughly 12 to 18 months. Color me surprised; I expected something a bit more measured. Clearly Edwards is convinced that the Army has accomplished all that it can militarily in Iraq, and it's time to start leaving sooner rather than later.
And since you asked, Lamont by 7. Lieberman soldiers on for two weeks before withdrawing due to a combination of public pressure from moderate Democrats and a lack of financial resources.
