TPM Muckraker has calls out to both Fred Hiatt and George Will to help clarify the process by which a mendacious column becomes a published op-ed (oh Schoolhouse Rock, where are you now?). It'll be interesting to see how they respond. Accountability is important when you're as influential a writer as George Will at as influential an outlet as The Washington Post. Something went wrong today, and it's in everybody's interests to see that it doesn't happen again. On a related note, it warms my globally-cooled heart to see Nate Silver respond with so many graphs.
