The Muslim Public Affairs Council, a group that has emerged as one of the government's preferred partners in the American Muslim community, has released a statement purporting to speak for Libyan Americans supporting the decision to intervene in Libya:
On behalf of the Libyan American community and in support of the citizens of Libya currently under siege by Moammer Gaddafi and his forces, we the undersigned would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to the International Community led by the United Nations, the United States, France and Great Britain for working to end the suffering of the Libyan people.
While I remain doubtful that this is going to end well, this is another reminder that those supporting intervention aren't just made up of the usual alliance of conservative and liberal hawks.
