Someone at a Memphis airport thought Juan Williams was really up to something with his remarks about being fearful of people wearing "Muslim garb," and got an entire family kicked off a flight:
"My understanding is they were dressed in attire that would indicate some Muslim-type religion," said airport vice-president Scott Brockman.
What provoked the incident? Muslim-type people in Muslim garb using the bathroom:
"On taxi, the crew became concerned when a passenger exited the lavatory after an extended period of time and damage was found in the lavatory," said a Comair spokesperson in a written statement.
Action News 5 learned that damage was to a toilet which was found slightly askew after the man of the family used it.
The plane was delayed for two hours while bomb-sniffing dogs were brought on board to make sure it was safe, and the family was interviewed by the FBI. If everyone was as heroic as Danielle Crittenden, this is what daily air travel would be like all over the world. Maybe we should just get separate bathrooms.
