I'll have some interesting and non-self-centered things to say about Lamont's victory soon enough. But for now there's a bit of happy accounting to do:
-As I predicted, Reid and Schumer declared their support for Lamont after he won the nomination.
-Okay, so John Edwards may have passed on endorsing Lamont before the primary ended. But he was the first Democratic leader to congratulate Ned on winning and declare his support. (John endorsed the primary winner a month ago; Elizabeth's weeks-ago quote on an independent Joementum candidacy was, "Let me be clear: we cannot have this.") Well done, Team Edwards! Both Markos and the National Journal's blog praise you.
