Hillary Clinton's former policy director, Neera Tanden, has signed on as Barack Obama's director of domestic policy. Tanden's policy shop was smart and thorough and progressive -- they totally outpaced the Obama campaign during the primaries, and were the reason I leaned towards Clinton till some of the Michigan and Florida shenanigans eventually pushed me away. With Jason Furman running economic policy and Karen Kornbluh managing the Senate brain trust, Obama is assembling a domestic policy team that's incredibly sharp and able. Now, if they'd just pull Chris Jennings in as health policy director, I'd rest easy.
