Sources on the Hill say that the Democrats will be pushing for a cloture vote for Thomas Perez, Obama's nominee to head the civil rights division of the Justice Department, at 12:15 tomorrow. Conservatives had blocked Perez' nomination based on the dismissal of a voting rights case involving the New Black Panther Party and Perez' association with a Maryland based immigrant rights' group, as I reported a few weeks ago. -- A.
