Igor Volsky has a good roundup of what last night's rout means for the LGBT rights agenda nationwide--and it's not all bad news--but he misses one important one--while Governor-elect Andrew Cuomo would sign a marriage equality bill, Republican victories in the state legislature last night mean that it's unlikely one will even make it to his desk, particularly since the last effort failed.
That said, as Andrew Sullivan notes, a record number of gay and lesbian candidates were elected to public office so I think we're still in an arc of the universe bending toward justice type situation.
