Let's be clear here: I will not have ethnic or sexual slurs in the comment threads. Things get heated -- I understand that. And I'll give a warning. Persist, and I won't. Toke, who was protesting how owners of establishments should be able to set their own rules in this thread, stepped on the trip wire again and is now banned. My establishment, my rules, sadly. He's welcome to e-mail me and accept the guidelines and I'll lift the ban.
As I've said before, I'll allow folks to hold most any opinion they want. Plenty of things said on this site annoy, offend, or disturb me. The number of personal attacks -- many of them from the leftier commenters -- are a shame, too. But I've given up on policing them. I will not, however, allow ethnic or sexual slurs. If that means George Allen and Toke can't comment, so be it.
